Contracts
Lesa can help simplify her client's basic business agreements, such as a Master Services Agreement, or Terms and Conditions. She focuses on a proper risk allocation, customer service, and the documentation of commercial agreements, while advising business leaders regarding commercial issues and potential risks. She skillfully negotiates various contractual relationships on behalf of her clients.
Claims and Litigation
Lesa has first-chair litigation experience and has managed a diverse docket, including class actions, complex commercial disputes, securities litigation, intellectual property litigation, employment disputes, wage and hour cases, trade secret disputes, construction litigation, government contract disputes, toxic tort, environmental, marine, personal injury, tax, bankruptcy, collections, and appeals. She will aggressively pursue all claims.
Employment Law
As a board certified Labor and Employment Lawyer, Lesa has experience with every aspect of employment and human resources. She assists executives with contractual matters as they begin new careers and exit from employers. Among the many issues she handles on behalf of employers: investigation and response to EEOC, DOL and other administrative claims; review and revision of personnel policies and handbooks; drafting of senior executive agreements and advice on executive compensation; drafting Compensation Disclosure and Analysis (CD&A); and drafting and delivering training for employees and managers at all levels on a wide range of human resources, fraud, and ethics.
Government & Public Affairs
Lesa is a capable and calm advisor in a business storm, providing guidance and draft talking points for media statements in critical incidents. She monitors and identifies proposed legislation and regulations with potential impact on a client or industry, responds on behalf of the client, coordinates actions with industry groups, and develops a strategy for legislative efforts to lobby Congress.
Corporate Governance & Compliance
Lesa helps her clients develop Codes of Business Conduct, as well as policies and procedures for a global corporate compliance program, including an FCPA Policy or Manual and Anti-Corruption Policy; she establishes training regimes and programs to ensure relevance to all levels of employees and management.
